Pulled off in one piece<\/p><\/div>\n

Work continued today with removing some of the body.\u00a0 The nose and fenders came off in one piece.\u00a0 We pulled the bolts attaching the fenders to the running boards.\u00a0 The center bolt holding the bottom of the nose to the frame was already out making this pretty easy work.<\/div>\n

1936 Packard Grill<\/p><\/div>\n

Here is the grill with the fenders removed.\u00a0 You can see the fender mounts on either side.\u00a0 The “wings” sticking out support most of the weight of the fender.\u00a0 Also, the strips that cover the joint between the nose and fender were removed.\u00a0 They came off in one piece and should be in great shape for re-chroming.<\/div>\n

Nose and fenders out of the way.\u00a0 You can see how well this car was made!\u00a0 Frame still structurally sound.\u00a0 Most of the parts still intact.\u00a0 Since we will be modernizing most of the mechanicals in the car, we will remove all of these and part them out to other restoration projects.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
